Our class got off to a great start. It was exciting to meet all of you by getting to know you and learning about some of the things that interest you! We are glad that each of you are a part of this class. Mr Wilson and I have an exciting year planned.
Our 4-H group the WaveMakers have elected the following officers: Joshua Clayton, President; Esther Rennhack, Vice-President, and Tony Cruz, Reporter. (Tony has already written up his first report for the newsletter- it was the 20th of the month!!) Thank you to all of the students who ran for officer positions. We will also be welcoming a new student Natalie who has just moved here from the State of Washington just 10 days ago.

Module 1: Part 1
We began our study of Marine Biology (pages 1-19) with a review of Physical Science by identifying all of the continents and oceans. Complete the map assignment to include continents, oceans and the plates. Also know where to find the mid-ocean trenches and ridges.
Our first Experiment 1.1 (Experiment 1.3 in your text) was to determine the salinity of three different water samples using a hydrometer. Complete your lab by writing it up fully in your lab book.
