In many places in the world today , marine and fresh water environments are suffering due to careless discard of debris. In class we participated in a community service project, “Stow it – Don’t throw it” founded by Sean Russell a UF Biology major and former Florida 4-H marine science student and intern with Mote Marine Aquarium Dolphin Research program in Sarasota, FL. We made personalized containers that collects monofilament fishing line that many times would be thrown into the water endangering sea life.
Next week we will have our class quiz on Module 16 study notes that were handed out in class. Honors Marine Biology MODULE 16 Study Notes
Also we will once again be dissecting sharks. If you have a dissection kit, bring it along to class.
